About Chris Pearson

Chris Pearson is a therapist based in Upton, West Yorkshire. Upton is close to the A1 and M62 and convenient for Pontefract, Wakefield, Barnsley and Doncaster.
Chris says, “I am an eclectic practitioner which means that I offer hypnosis alongside techniques from a number of schools of psychological thought: NLP – or neurolinguistic programming – cognitive-behavioural techniques and meridian therapy. Mindfulness is a popular and highly-effective option that complements and strengthens other therapeutic work.” He is able to treat a range of presenting issues. These include smoking cessation, alcohol control, weight and eating, fears and phobias and obsessive/compulsive disorder.
“I also work with creative writers – authors, that is – and musicians to develop ability, craft and performance.
Plus, if you think you need to build your confidence, then together we can prepare you for that interview, test or exam; for a special occasion or a speech or presentation. And do it very quickly and effectively.”

My training, work experience and any achievement

Chris trained in Sheffield with AAC – the Academy of Advanced Changework – and is registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register or GHR. He is also a full member of the UK-based National Council for Hypnotherapy and of NCP, the National Council of Psychotherapists.
He has been practicing at John Cox Health and Physiotherapy Practice in Upton since 2010 before which he had worked in Wakefield.
Chris has specialist training and experience in both weight control and pain management plus an accredited Certificate in Alcohol Control. His Four Week-Five Star Weight Control programme has been popular over several years and has had many grateful participants.
“I have also studied regression techniques,” says Chris, “benefiting from a continuing development process with the renowned practitioner, Steve Burgess.” Regression can allow you to understand or resolve many issues that affect you life right now. It can also be a fascinating and enjoyable experience for anyone inquisitive about their past or – perhaps - even discovering their past lives.
